Third Reich Forestry Officials Visor Cap-This is for a higher-ranking official in the Forestry service. It is a private purchase cap produced in good quality materials. The green wool is soft and in excellent condition. Same for the dark green velvet center band. The dark green piping is fully intact. The eagle is silver finished tombak with some of the finish missing. The wreath is silver bullion over dark green. There is an aluminum cockade. There is an officer style silver bullion double chin cord held in place by a pair of silver finished pebbled buttons. The black vulkanfibre visor has crazing but it is very clean. The interior is fully lined in soft, golden brown ribbed rayon. There is quite a bit of wear and there is a break in the internal part of the capo at the back. This does not affect the way it looks or fits but you can “feel” it. The moisture shield is missing. The sweatband is soft tan leather in fine condition. It is embossed with the logo of the manufacturer. The cap is a size 57. Overall good condition!
