Third Reich German Police Administration Visor Cap-This is a very well made, private purchase example. The soft, smooth trikot weave wool is excellent. It is field grey and super clean. The piping is mouse gray and fully intact. The center band is chocolate brown. The insignia consists of a zinc police eagle with its silver finish fully intact and a nickel silver cockade. The chin cord is the officer style in silver bullion with a pair of silver finished pebbled metal buttons holding it in place. The isor is black vulkanfibre. It is very shiny with only minor crazing. The underside is crosshatched and finished in a cream hue. The interior is fully lined in gold rayon. There is minor wear and discoloration from use. The moisture shield is diamond shaped and fully intact. Script reads “Stirndruckfrei” and “Deutsches Reichspatent”. The sweatband is perforated at the front. It is produced in tan ersatz leather. It is very stiff and I do not want to try to look underneath. The cap fits like a size 59, big. Excellent and desirable!
