Third Reich Luftschutz Model 1938 Helmet-This is the three-piece, steel, beaded version of this type. The smooth, blue finish remains an amazing 90% intact. The Luftschutz decal on the front checks in at 95%. Each side of this helmet has a set of ventilation holes. The liner is brown ersatz leather and size stamped 56. It is a bit stiff and has minor discoloration. There is a replacement drawstring. There is a stamping in the rear skirt that reads “RL2 38/28”. The original brown leather chinstrap is in place. Great condition!
