It is very clean. The large Luftschutz decal at the front is 80% intact. This is the 2 piece style with two salt and pepper shaker style ventilation grommets on each side. There is a three pad, ersatz leather liner that is really rough. It is stiff with some missing material and the liner band is damaged\/cracked\/stiff. There is a drawstring. The rear skirt has a lot of info, including the size (58) and that it meets the standard of the Luftschutz. It is stamped RL2-38\/28. There is some orange “goo” in the top of the dome. It is hard and does not seem to affect the helmet. It can be removed if you desire to do so. The original, wide brown leather chin strap is present. It was broken in two pieces so we glued it together.
