Third Reich Railway Official Visor-This would be for a higher career group official with the Reichsbahnschutz. It is produced in very soft blue wool that is in fine condition, with minor wear only. There is a black velvet center band and white piping that shows minor discoloration and wear. The insignia is in great condition and retains its original silver finish. There are extra holes inside where the insignia goes so let’s assume that these were reattached/applied. There is a black vulkanfibre visor which has minor crazing only. It is loose on one side. The chin cord is a double, officer type in silver bullion with woven blue thread. The interior is fully lined in gold rayon that is in fine condition. There is a rhomboid shaped moisture shield with maker nomenclature. This is Georg Buchwald of Berlin. The sweatband is tan leather and in fine condition aside from it being loose on one side. The underside is stamped “Reichsbahnschutz R.B.D. Stettin”. The cap is a size 55. Good condition!
