Third Reich Rural Police “Crash” Motorcycle Helmet-This is a fiber shell, similar to the tschakos, with a light brown rural police finish. There is a padded ring around the circumference that is still fairly soft and remains fully intact. The brown leather front visor has a lot of crazing and age cracks but still remains tightly affixed. There is a single ventilation grommet on each side. There is a dent in the left upper part of the dome. The police insignia is present and aside from some discoloration, it is in fine condition. Inside, there is a soft tan leather liner which is mostly intact. Each side has a silver embossed maker motto which indicates that this was produced by eReL” and it is a “Fiber-Helm”. The upper dome is lined in padded (stiff) black leather. There is an additional manufacturer label here as well. The liner is stamped with the size 56 ½. Additionally, there is a very soft chocolate brown leather wide strap to go over the ears and partially cover the neck of the wearer. There are cut outs for the ears and ventilation grommets in the back for the neck. Finally, there is a wide brown leather chinstrap that is in good condition. Overall, a good example!
