US OSS Stiletto Fighting Knife by Fairbairn-Sykes-This is the very rare and highly desirable stiletto used by our OSS. It has a solid brass pebbled handle and an unmarked steel guard. The “pancake flipper” scabbard is in excellent condition. It has a brown leather body with green painted fittings including the unique, green painted, flipper belt loop. The blade has the majority of the bluing missing, this was probably done by the soldier. There is also a slight bit of damage to the tip of the blade. Please be sure to look closely at the photos. This is the first one I have had of these in many a year.
