US WWII Cargo Lamp-Type A-1 lamp, which was automatically turned on when the parachute opened, thus assisting with locating A-4 or A-5 cargo containers on the ground during night drops. Different light colors were used depending on the cargo. This one is a green lamp, mainly used with the matching green canopies. Extremely well marked and in great condition.
