US WWII Unique Fighting Knife***STILL AVAILABLE***-You will definitely have to look at the photos of this example to get the full impact of what is being described to you. This would be based on the traditional World War I knuckle knife, but something a lot of time and effort was put into to create this unique personalized fighting knife for a combat soldier. The D-guard has protruding knuckles, the blade itself extends through the tang and above the top cap of the knife and comes to a point where you know what its intent was. The handle is a ribbed steel handle again made for business purposes. The scabbard is made of steel and does retain some of its original finish. The blade is cut down from some type of an earlier bayonet and has a triangular shape. There is some light rust to the overall appearance. At one point somebody used this to mix white paint and you will see that when you look at the tip of the blade. Surrounding this knife is a distinctive leather frog which extends the entire length of the blade and has a unique setup to be attached to a belt. There is a retaining strap but that is broken. The condition of this piece is exactly what you might expect to find for this unique field made soldiers’ accessory.
