Used, Tunic Removed WWII German “Geschwader Immelmann” Luftwaffe Cufftitle- This is the Other Ranks version of the Luftwaffe Flyer’s Group cufftitle. Named in honor of Oberleutnant Max Immelmann who was one of the best know and most respected aces of the Imperial German Air Force. He was shot down and killed on June 18, 1918 in a dog fight. The cufftitle bears his name preceded by “Geschwader” (Flyer’s Group) in a Gothic script, machine embroidered in a silvery/grey cloth thread. This is over a dark blue felt backing. This is slightly shorter on one end than the other and was most likely removed from a tunic. It measures 15” in length (38cm). A great example overall!
