The blue Moroccan leather handle and scabbard are in very good condition. There is slight scuffing to both the handle and scabbard, but this is minimal. The twisted silver wire grip wrap is in place and nicely toned. The toning of the sunwheel inlay at the top and on the crossguard are excellent. The details to the crossguard are also very good. This is an early example with solid nickel fittings throughout including the chain hanger. The pommel cap and hilt retain 90% of their finish, and the gilt brass swastikas have a nice finish and details. The nickel silver fittings on the scabbard are also in very good condition with the fittings retaining approx. 90% of their original finish. The blade on this example is in strong very good condition with the SMF knights head logo seen just under the crossguard. The solid nickel chain is also in great shape.
