The brown wooden handle is excellent. The nickel silver grip eagle is nice and tight, with excellent tone and detailing. The enameled runic button is scuff free and looks very good. The nickel silver pommel and crossguard is excellent overall. The reverse of the crossguard is marked for “Wf” for the SA gruppe Westfalia. The scabbard is also excellent. The brown anodized finish on the scabbard remains 95% in place. The nickel silver fittings are also excellent, with no major dents, including the ball tip. The blade is very good and has the typical in and out runner marks, but you can also see the factory cross graining. The motto “Alles für Deutschland” is deeply etched. The Gustav Spitzer logo can be seen on the reverse, just under the crossguard. This dagger is excellent overall. We were lucky enough to purchase this dagger from the family of a veteran.
