This example is an award for service since it does not have swords. Both the obverse and reverse have lost all of the original gold finish, with minor wear showing on the highlights. The ring that holds the ribbon retains the gold finish. The portion of ribbon is still very clean and bright. The pin functions perfectly. We were able to purchase this from a US veteran.
