Veteran Bring Back German WWII Extremely Rare Early Army Buckle-Take a look at this gorgeous aluminum buckle, and you can see something different about it. This is the first pattern Heer enlisted man’s buckle from 1935. It is said that Hitler hated the fact that the eagle’s head was facing backward and not forward and ordered the design change. This model was only made for a short period so there are very few around. This buckle is in very good condition. It is of two piece aluminum construction with the pebbled front field. The eagle, wreath and “Gott Mit Uns” motto has excellent detailing and this roundel is separately applied, with all prongs intact. I am actually not certain that this buckle was even issued to be honest as it in excellent condition. This has a steel roll bar, and a half moon catch that functions perfectly. This was brought home by a US veteran. We will be sure to supply the name and any other information we have to the buyer. This is a very desirable early example.
