This is a semi vaulted example, which has lost the majority of its bronze finish on the obverse, with more of it in place on the reverse. This badge has strong details, and the zinc has toned to a nice patina. The pin setup works perfectly. This medal was brought home by a US veteran. We will share the name of this soldier with the buyer. This is a handsome example! On June 1st, 1940, a bronze version of this Infantry Assault Badge was introduced as an award to Officer’s and EM\/NCO’s of Motorized infantry units.
