Veteran Bring Back Partial Ground Röhm SA Dagger by E. Packe & Söhne-This is a good-looking example of a partial ground Röhm SA dagger. The fittings on this dagger are very good. The nickel hilt and crossguard are quite stunning, they retain the majority of their nickel silver finish. The brown wooden grip has lightened in color, most likely from being stored in direct sunlight. There is one chip on the obverse, just below the nickel silver eagle. There is a small scratch on the left side of the SA runic button. The nickel silver eagle is a tight fit to the handle and has great details and tone. The enamel to the runic button is sound, there is some slight scuffing and a small crack to the right side of the “A”. The crossguard is nicely marked for the SA group of Wf or Westfallen. The scabbard is in very good condition, though there is some denting to the lower nickel silver fitting on the reverse. The ball tip is slightly flattened. The finish on the scabbard is 95% in place and looks very good. The blade is very good you can still see the factory cross graining. The motto “Alles fur Deutschland” is deeply etched. The reverse shows the top and bottom letters of the Röhm inscription, the center part has been removed including a part of the E. Packe logo as well. This is not a distraction considering this is a partially ground Röhm. Overall, this is very good. This was brought home by a US veteran. We were able to purchase this directly from his family. We will supply the name and battalion information to the buyer.
