Vintage Estonian Fire Defense Senior Fire Official (Officer) Uniform Grouping-And now for something completely different! Nothing we know a lot about and of course haven’t had to offer before, this is a vintage Estonian senior fire official uniform grouping. We have added a few old pictures of these uniforms in wear so check those out as well. A big thanks to John S for helping us identify this and for allowing us to use his pictures to assist. The tunic is black wool and in great condition. There is extremely minor wear and discoloration only. There are four pockets with scalloped flaps. The breast pockets are pleated while the hip pockets are internal. There is a seven button closure and all buttons are gilt finished with the fire helmet. The front and lower edge of the collar are piped in off white wool as are the edges of the French cuffs. The collar patches are machine applied. They are off white badge cloth with fire torches in brass. There are sew in shoulder boards of black wool with off white wool piping. Each has a fire defense insignia with a pair of gilt pips. The shoulders are padded. The interior is fully lined in grey cotton and there is a single pocket on the left side. The tunic is a size medium. The trousers are dark blue wool. They are also in fine condition with minor wear and discoloration. There are twin tresse stripes down each leg with blue highlights. There are slash type hip pockets and a single rear pocket with buttoned flap. There is a four button fly with a pair of additional buttons plus a metal hook and loop fastener at the waist. The waist is a size 30 and these are 41” long. There is also a waist belt with oval brass buckle and brass keeper. The buckle has the fire defense insignia.
