WWII German 6x30 Tropical Binoculars with Bakelite Case-Desirable example of a set of 6 x 30 tropical binoculars. They are ordnance tan for use in the tropical theater or later war issue. The finish is 80% intact on this set. The lenses function nicely, and the optics are clear and appear to have a green hue for use in the tropical sun. Well-marked with Dienstglas 16x30 “CAG” indicating production by Swarovski Optik of Austria. They are still in business today, making world famous binoculars and range finders among other products. These binoculars have a brown leather carrying strap. A black bakelite case accompanies this set, this has moderate use, with some scuffing and some scratching. The fittings do have some finish loss, and spots of rust but overall, a very good example! There is no shoulder strap on the bakelite case, but there are two brown leather straps affixed to the back for attachment to a belt or a pack.
