WWII German Armenian Volunteer Sleeve Shield-Armenien Landeschilde-This is an arm shield constructed of yellow cloth, with a scalloped topped, pointed bottom, shield-shaped base with three horizontal bars in red, blue, and yellow, with a narrow black outer border. The top of the shield presents a horizontal black bar with a yellow script ARMENIEN. This would be worn by Soviet Armenians who either volunteered or were conscripted to fight the Soviets. These Armenians were also hoping to fight for an independent Armenia, which of course the Germans were happy to let them believe. This patch is printed with all the original color present. It is unissued, but there is one spot of discoloration so please be sure to look closely at the photos.
