WWII German Army Assault Gun Wrapper for Flak NCO-This assault gun wrapper (Sturmgeschütz) is for an army armored vehicle NCO who was an officer candidate with the rank of oberfähnrich. The field grey wool is in excellent condition. There is minor wear and discoloration, mostly at the neck/collar as well as one tiny nip in the same spot. All of the buttons are present. The large lower buttons are zinc and the smaller upper buttons are bakelite (these are reapplied). The collar tabs are period original applied. They are field grey badge cloth with red piping and nickel silver over tombak skulls whose prongs are through the collar. There are original slip on shoulder boards of field grey wool with shiny silver NCO tresse and a green tresse strap on each. There is a machine woven, grey over green breast eagle that is originally hand applied. There is a ribbon for the EKII and Russian Front medals. There are period loops for three medals on the left side. There interior has a partial light grey rayon lining that is in fine condition. There is a vertical pocket on the left side and a horizontal pocket on the right. Inside the right pocket is a white ink stamped RBNr as well as “E.44”. It is a size large. Excellent!
