WWII German Army Cavalry Officer Model 1936 Private Purchase Service Tunic-This private purchase example is produced in very soft field grey wool. There is minor wear, minor discoloration and a few tiny holes. There is a five-button closure and all buttons are field grey finished pebbled metal. There are four pleated pockets with scalloped flaps. The collar is dark green badge cloth. There are a few holes underneath the collar. The collar tabs are matte silver bullion over dark green badge cloth with yellow litzen. The sew in boards are matte grey flat wire over yellow badge cloth. There is a single pip on each with the number 7 cipher. These are for an oberleutnant (first lieutenant). The officer breast eagle is silver bullion with bright silver flat wire highlights over dark green badge cloth. It has been hand-applied. There is a WWII EKII Spange over a black and white ribbon attached properly through the button holes. There are loops for a medium ribbon bar above the left breast pocket. The interior is fully lined in green rayon that is in fine condition. There is a waist belt with plated buckle and a single pocket on the left side. There is a tailor tag with a name inside the pocket. The date is 1941. There is also a large tailor tag in the neck. The tunic is a size medium. Very good condition overall!
