WWII German Army DAK Tropical Model 1943 Tunic-This is a very late war tunic produced in either 1944 or 1945. It is produced in a tan heavy duty canvas which has minor wear and discoloration. There is a six button closure and all buttons are field grey finished pebbled metal. There are 4 pockets with straight flaps. There are machine woven, generic collar tabs that have been machine applied. The tunic has straps for slip on shoulder boards but none are included. It was missing the breast eagle when we acquired it, so we had a correct, machine woven grey over green eagle professionally applied. The interior is unlined and there is a single large bandage pocket on the lower right. There are ink stamps in two places. The first is above the bandage pocket on the closure seam and is simply the number 50. On the opposite side are encircled numbers that don't make much sense to me, but maybe sizing. It is a size large. Great condition and scarcely encountered!
