WWII German Army General’s Visor Cap, Named

WWII German Army General’s Visor Cap, Named-This is a high quality, private purchase example. It is produced in very soft field grey wool that is excellent. It feels like doe skin but has the weave seen on trikot caps. The gold aluminum mesh piping seen around the top panel and at the upper and lower edges of the dark green badge cloth center band is fully intact. The insignia is all bullion and in great condition. It is original BUT we believe it has been GLUED back onto the cap. The officer type double chin cord is gold bullion and held in place by a pair of gold finished pebbled metal buttons. The visor is black vulkanfibre and has some minor crazing only. The underside of the visor is orange brown, cross hatched and showing some minor wear expected from a cap that has seen some use. The interior is fully lined in brown cloth that has some minor wear and discoloration from use. There is a diamond shaped moisture shield that is fully intact. There is some extremely faint maker information seen on the moisture shield. I cannot make out what it says but it is there. There is a paper tag in the slot with the name of the general. This is on you as well; I am just not sure what it says. The orange brown sweatband is leather and still very soft. It has a few small tears, some discoloration and is separated from the cap at the front 1/3rd. An overall very nice example!
