WWII German Army Medical Officer Model 1936 Tunic-This is of private purchase quality but I do not see a tailor tag. It is produced in very soft field grey wool. There is some minor wear and discoloration but no damage. There is a five button closure and all buttons are field grey finished pebbled metal. There are four pleated pockets with scalloped flaps. There is a dark green badge cloth collar and French cuffs. The officer collar tabs have silver bullion columns with blue litzen over dark green badge cloth. They are machine applied. The sew in shoulder boards are produced in matte grey flat wire with blue piping and a secondary underlay of green (reservist). There are a pair of pips and a medical cipher on each for the rank of hauptmann (captain). This has an original, hand applied breast eagle of silver flat wire. A bit unusual but 100% original. There is a set of loops for a badge on the left breast pocket and another set above for a small ribbon bar. The interior is fully lined in green rayon that is in fine condition. There is a single pocket on the left side. The tunic is a size large. Very good condition!
