WWII German Army Model 1935 Double Decal Helmet-This example has darker field grey finish lightly brushed over the original field grey finish. Both finishes are visible in multiple places. They painted around the decals. Most of the missing finish is on the top of the dome. The left side has a toned armed decal that checks in at 80%, the tri color on the right at 70%. The brown leather, size 57 liner is a little loose inside the shell. It has minor wear and discoloration from use and age. There is a drawstring and a reinforced aluminum liner band that is maker marked, dated 1939 and size stamped 64/57. The side of the interior is stamped N.S. 64 indicating production by Nickelwerke of Schwerte in the size of 64. The rear skirt is stamped with the lot number E 190. The chinstrap is brown leather. It is a replacement dated 1941 and maker marked. A sound example overall!
