WWII German Army Model 1943 DAK Tropical Tunic-This tunic is produced in tropical tan, heavy duty canvas. There is minor discoloration, minor wear and one small repair below the right breast pocket. There is some staining present on the lower front. There is a 5 button closure and all buttons are grey finish pebbled metal. There are 4 pockets with straight flaps. The collar tabs are machine woven and machine applied. These are the generic type. There are slip on shoulder boards for the officer rank of leutnant which is equivalent to a second Lieutenant. The flat wire face is matte silver. The backing is lime green for a Panzer Grenadier. The breast eagle is hand applied. It is produced in pale Gray cloth over tropical tan. We believe the Insignia has been reapplied to this tunic. There are loops for two awards on the left breast pocket. These are also most likely collector applied. The interior is unlined. There was a bandage pocket and a stamped RB number above that. It is a size large. Above average condition overall!
