WWII German Army TSD Officer Private Purchase Model 1936 Tunic- This example is in fine condition, with just minor wear and discoloration from use and age. There is one absolutely tiny moth hole on the right side, next to the collar. There is a six button closure and all buttons are green finished pebbled metal. There are French cuffs and a dark green badge cloth collar. There are four pleated pockets with scalloped flaps. The collar tabs are machine attached. They are silver bullion with (faded) blue litzen over dark green badge cloth. The sew in shoulder boards are matte grey flat wire over (again, faded) blue badge cloth. Each has a pair of gilt finished metal pips for captain rank (hauptmann). Each also has a Mercurian staff cipher indicating, along with the blue piping, TSD personnel (truppensonderdienst). The breast eagle is reapplied. It is an officer bullion example with bright silver highlights over green badge cloth. There are loops for a single badge and a medium ribbon bar. The interior is fully lined in green rayon that is in fine condition. There is a slot for a dagger plus a strap with a plated metal clip. The tunic is a large size. Great condition!
