This is a beautiful steel army buckle. It retains the majority of its finish. The details on the motto, and especially the eagle are excellent. This is maker marked and dated under the catch with H.A. 1941 for Hermann Aurich. This is a gorgeous leather tab that is also maker stamped and dated 1941. The maker on the tab is very difficult to make out, though you can see the date 41 and possibly the city NUERNBERG so the unreadable tab could be marked for Aurich as well, but we are uncertain. There is a name written on the underside of the tab, it is difficult to read, but this is def. a name written into the leather.
