WWII German Deutsche Rotes Kreuz Uniform-This is a service tunic for DRK (German Red Cross) personnel. It is produced in grey wool that is in fine condition overall. There is some wear, discoloration and tracking but this is all fairly minor. There is a four-button closure with a lay down collar. There is a fifth button hole at the top of the left lapel but no button. There are four pleated pockets with scalloped flaps. There are grey badge cloth collar patches with enamel Red Cross ciphers. Each is piped in bullion twist rope. The sew in shoulder boards are dark grey badge cloth with light grey piping. There was some sort of devices on the boards originally but these are missing. There is a machine woven sleeve triangle on the right sleeve. This says "Rendsburg 2" (Rendsburg is a town on the River Eider and the Kiel Canal in the central part of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany). The left sleeve has a machine woven Red Cross armband. Below is a section of silver tresse with a red stripe. The interior is fully lined in blue striped rayon. There is a pocket on the left side. It is a size medium. Very good condition and desirable!
