ON HOLD! WWII German Fire Police NCO Dress Tunic-This is a beautiful, war time, tailor made example in blue green wool. This style replaced the earlier purple/blue tunics. It is very clean and has extremely minor wear only. There is a very tiny holes on the right lower side by the pocket. This tunic has an eight button closure and all buttons are silver finished pebbled metal. The French cuffs and collar are both chocolate brown badge cloth. The front and lower edge of the collar is piped in wine red, as are each side of the closure seam, around the tail and around the cuffs. There are four pockets with scalloped flaps. The breast pockets are pleated. The machine applied collar tabs are wine red badge cloth with silver metallic NCO tresse columns and silver bullion twist rope piping. The sew in shoulder boards have a brown cloth, silver flat wire braid with silver flat wire piping and interwoven brown cloth “v’s”. The underside is wine red badge cloth. These are for the highest NCO rank of meister, equivalent to a warrant officer. There are loops for a single badge on the left pocket as well as loops for a medium sized ribbon bar just above the pocket. The left sleeve has a wine red over blue green wool sleeve eagle that is stunning. There are two metal belt hooks. The interior is fully lined in green rayon that is excellent. There is a single pocket on the left side. This is a size medium and in fantastic condition overall!
