WWII German Luftwaffe Four Pocket Tunic, Private Purchase for Flight/Paratrooper Enlisted Man-This early, private purchase example is produced in soft blue grey wool. It has wear, discoloration, some tracking and staining. There are four pleated pockets with scalloped flaps. There is a four-button closure and all buttons are blue grey finished pebbled metal. A lot of the buttons are missing the finish. The front and lower edges of the collar are piped in yellow twist rope. There are yellow badge cloth tags which are neatly hand applied. There are sew in shoulder board which are produced in blue grey wool with yellow piping. This is for a flight/paratrooper private. The breast eagle was removed and one is not included. You can clearly see where one once resided. Same goes for the cuff title, you can clearly see where one was once in place on the lower right sleeve. The interior is fully lined in blue rayon. There is minor wear and discoloration from use and age. There is a pocket on the left side. It is stamped in at least three different spots inside. The left pocket is stamped with four different flight bases, three are crossed out. The center of the interior is stamped with more info including sizing. The right side is stamped L.K.K. III and with the date, 1935. There is a tailor tag in the neck area. There is also one inside the left pocket along with a cloth tag with the stitched name “Walter”. The tunic is a size medium. This is a good restoration project and it is priced to sell!
