The rough texture, blue grey finish remains 80% intact. The Luftwaffe decal remains 80% intact as well. The tan leather, size stamped 60 leather liner is in great condition, with just minor wear, scuffing and discoloration from use. The soldier wrote his name and rank onto the liner, Raimer Obgfr. There is a drawstring and a zinc liner band. The side of the interior is stamped ET 68 indicating production by Eisenhuttenwerke of Thale in the size of 68. The rear skirt is stamped with the lot number 5001. There is a dark brown leather chinstrap that is really cool as it has camo paint remnants on it. It is also maker marked and dated 1938.
