WWII German Luftwaffe Officer Visor Cap-This is produced by the prestigious firm of Pekuro or Peter Küpper. It is a very high-quality cap, produced in very soft blue grey wool that is in very good condition. There is very slight wear and one tiny hole under the left side. It is ever so slightly out of shape, please see photos. The top panel is piped in silver mesh, as is the upper and lower edges of the ribbed black center band. The piping is in fine condition aside from some very minor wear. The insignia is full bullion. It has a beautiful tone to it and remains in overall excellent condition with a hint of wear which is ok. The chin cord is silver bullion with minor wear and discoloration. The visor is shiny black vulkanfibre and it has a black finished underside. The interior is fully lined in gold rayon that is in good condition with minor wear and discoloration from use. The moisture shield is rhomboid shaped and in fine condition. The maker info is seen along with “Stirndruckfrei”. The sweatband is orange brown leather and perforated at the forehead. It is very soft and supple with minor tears in a few spots. It has been restitched around its perimeter at some point and there is a small section in the back that is missing. Overall, a very good example!
