WWII German Luftwaffe Other Ranks Visor Cap for Artillery/Flak Personnel-This early example is produced in blue grey wool that is in very good condition. There is very minor wear only, it is super clean. The red piping is completely intact and in fine condition. The insignia is all aluminum and also in great shape. The eagle is the early style “droop tail” type. The ribbed center band is very clean. There is a black patent leather chinstrap that is in good condition with minor crazing. The black vulkanfibre visor shows some crazing and fading, with the underside finished in black and also a bit crazed. It remains tightly affixed to the cap. The interior is fully lined in orange brown cloth. There is extremely minor discoloration only. The moisture shield is present and fully intact. The maker info is clearly visible along with the size, 55 and date, 1936. There is a name tag in the slot that reads “Willaredt”. The tan ersatz leather sweatband is a bit stiff. Underneath, in addition to another name tag (same name) are unit markings that read 4. Batt. And 1/Flak.R. 2. A great piece!
