WWII German Model 1934 Army Panzer Cap, Named with ID and Arbeitsbuch-This not only includes a fantastic cap but also the Kennkarte and Arbeitsbuch book of the owner plus three photos of his exact Panzer III tank. What a great grouping! The cap is produced in black wool that is of a very good quality. Each side has a single black enameled ventilation grommet. Originally applied insignia consists of a machine woven white over black eagle, a machine woven cockade over green and a pin panzer soutache. The interior is fully lined in grey green cotton that has minor wear from use. It is well marked with maker info, Robert Lubstein (eReL), the date, 1940 and the size, 55. The soldier wrote the first four letters of his name in ink, “Eckm.” onto the liner. Also ink stamped onto the liner is his full last name and his number, “Eckmann 05569 A”. The Arbeitsbook (workbook) is full of entries. It was issued to him on 28.2.40. The latest entry into the book is actually in 1946! It was on May 11th. The “Kennkarte” ID document is de-Nazified on the cover. It includes a photo of Rolf inside that is properly riveted to the page. There are also fingerprints. It is a little battered but still a cool piece of this great grouping. There are three small black and white photos of Rol’s Panzer III that he worked with as well. This is a super set!
