WWII German Model 1935 Army Reissue Combat Helmet-This started life as a parade helmet with an apple green finish and a pair of decals. It was reissued with a dark green combat finish and the tri color shield was covered up. This was subsequently uncovered by a collector. The army decal was painted around during the reissue. The finish remains 75% intact and the decal is 85%. The tri color shield is partially intact. Inside is a soft, brown leather liner that has minor wear and discoloration from use. There is a drawstring and a reinforced aluminum liner band that is maker marked, dated 1938 and size stamped 64/56. The side of the interior is stamped ET 64 indicating production by Eisenhuttenwerke of Thale in the size of 64. The rear skirt is stamped with the lot number 3938 indicating production in 1938. A solid example overall!
