WWII German Model 1942 Army Single Decal Helmet, Formerly with Wire-This is formerly of the Tom Pearson collection. This example had a wire on it for a long time but it is gone at this point. The dark field grey combat finish is very rough texture, almost having the feel of zimmerit. The army decal remains 85% intact. The original size 56 liner is very soft with minor discoloration and wear only. There is a drawstring and a zinc liner band. I cannot read any of the stampings on the helmet but the shell is a size 64. There is also a name and rank written into the rear skirt, Kan. Chwish. A good example overall!
