WWII German Model 1942 SS Single Decal Helmet-This is a very nice example of a Waffen SS combat helmet. The rough texture field grey finish remains 98% intact with a scuff or two. The right side has a ET/CKL runic shield that remains 80% intact. The interior has a size 56 leather liner that shows some wear and discoloration from use. There are no tears and the drawstring is present. There is a zinc liner band that is maker marked, dated 1943 and stamped with the size of the liner, 56. The rear of the skirt is stamped ckl 64 (it is a bit of a double stamp so the “l” isn’t visible) indicating production by Eisenhuttenwerke of Thale in the size of 64. The rear skirt is also stamped with the steel lot number 285 (like the “l”, a number is double stamped so illegible) indicating production some time in 1943. There is a partial chinstrap. A great example!
