This visor cap is produced in blue green wool that is in near excellent condition with only minor wear and discoloration from use. The orange piping indicates this was for a rural police officer. The chocolate brown, badge cloth center band has some minor wear and a few moth bites. The insignia consists of an aluminum, silver finished "other ranks" police eagle and wreath, which is of course a replacement to the cap. Also replaced is the cockade just above. As a matter of fact, you can clearly see where another eagle once resided where the cockade now sits. The silver bullion chin cord is excellent and held tightly in place by the two silver finished pebbled metal buttons. The short, vulkanfibre visor has a few scuffs and is a bit faded but otherwise ok. It is tightly attached to the body of the cap. The underside is crosshatched and finished in an orange brown hue. The interior is fully lined in light green rayon. There is minor discoloration and the front has a few tears. The sweatband is light brown leather and in great condition. There is a rhomboid shaped moisture shield that is fully intact. The nomenclature of the maker, eReL, is seen on the moisture shield. The model is the "Privat". It is a size 60 (large). A great looking cap and priced right!
