WWII US Dual Unit “Ike” Jacket for 10th Mountain/2nd Army (with Extras)-This example is produced in dark olive drab wool that is in good condition, remaining clean. It has a four button closure and all buttons are brown bakelite. There are pleated breast pockets with scalloped flaps. The left sleeve has a 10th Mountain sleeve patch. The right sleeve has a 2nd Army Sleeve patch. There is a “Ruptured Duck” diamond above the right breast pocket. There are two ribbon bars plus a Combat Infantryman Badge above the left pocket. The ribbon bars are for Good Conduct, American Defense, EAME with two battle stars and the two Victor Medals. The interior is fully lined in dark olive drab cotton blend material that is clean. There is a pocket on each side. The right pocket has a tailor tag dated June 13, 1944 and indicating that the tailor was Levine & Ganz. and that the size is a 38 R. There is a small size tag in the neck with the same size listed. There is a laundry tag pinned to the interior. The extras that are included are a “Blizzard” newspaper (the newspaper of the 10th Mountain Division) dated May 22, 1945, a “Mountaineer” hardcover book (cover is loose), a Handbook on German Military Forces dated September 1, 1943, a 10th Mountain Division veterans reunion book and some hand drawn renderings of a battle plan of some kind.
