WWII US S.H.A.E.F./10th Mountain Dual Unit Officers Service Dress Tunic-This is a class b officers tunic in dark olive drab elastique wool. It is in very good condition, remaining very clean and with just a hint of wear and a few small areas of tracking/mothing. There are four pockets and a four-button closure. The upper three buttons are gilt finished with the army logo and the bottom button is bakelite. The breast pockets are pleated with scalloped flaps while the hip pockets are plain with straight flaps. The left side (current) sleeve has the Supreme Headquarters, Army Expeditionary Force patch. You can clearly see that another sleeve patch was once there, a large one like the 2nd ID or such. The right side (Combat) is the 10th Mountain Division. The interior is partially lined in green rayon that is excellent. There are pockets on each side. The right side has the Army Officers Coat patch. Inside is the makers tag which identifies the coat, dates it June 24, 1944 and indicates that it is a size 40 R. Very good condition overall!
