German WWII 2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger w/Hangers-This is a handsome dagger. The white celluloid handle has lost its glaze but is free of cracks and crazing, but there is slight staining to the white celluloid from the grip wire. The grip wire has a dark tone to it. The airplane gray finish on the pommel and crossguard remains in the lowest details. The pommel and crossguard show light wear. The scabbard has excellent details. The scabbard and scabbard fittings retain 90% of the original finish. It shows no denting. The unmarked blade is very good. You can clearly see the factory cross graining remains. There is also a set of deluxe hangers. The hangers are in very good condition. The embellished hanger fittings have lost their finish, and the zinc has toned to a dark gray color. All snap clips work as they should. The large top clip is marked DRGM. The straps are near excellent, with the silver and gray flatwire embellishments. The reverse of the straps is backed in gray velvet that is in near excellent condition. This is a good-looking dagger set that has always been together.
