Allgemeine SS “Droop-Bill” Helmet-This is a WWI droop bill helmet that was reissued for use by the Allgemeine SS. It had a black finish with a runic decal and this was repainted grey and another runic decal was added. The grey finish is 75% or more intact. There is a dent on the top of the dome at the right rear. The decal has noticeable scratches, but it is still quite visible. The original three pad brown leather liner is present and in very good condition with minor wear and discoloration only. The original brown leather liner band is also present as is a drawstring. There is a name (maybe more than one?) written onto one of the liner pads. A tiny section of the brown leather chin strap remains. His is a very collectible example that is priced very reasonably!
