EXTREMELY Scarce Third Reich Diplomatic Official Visor Cap-This mega scarce cap is produced in very soft navy-blue wool that is excellent. The center band is produced in badge cloth of the same color. The top panel as well as the upper and lower edges of the center band are piped in silver mesh metallic piping. The insignia is all bullion and excellent. It is all of an original hand application through the lining. The chin cord is the thicker style in silver bullion. There are silver finished pebbled metal buttons. The visor is shiny black vulkanfibre in excellent condition. The underside of the visor is cream finished and cross hatched. The interior is fully lined in gold rayon. It is as new. The orange sponge under the tan leather sweatband has deteriorated and is flaking. There is a diamond shaped moisture shield. The sweatband is embossed “Deutsches Leder”. The cap is a large size 59. Excellent and very desirable!
