German WWII Army Artillery General’s Side Cap-This is an amazing offering. This side cap is made of an olive-green, high-quality wool. It shows light wear only. There is no moth tracking or nips visible. There are two grommet vent holes on each side. The front scallop and the upper folds are trimmed in toned gold mesh piping. The eagle is silver flat wire over green and in excellent condition. Same for the bullion cockade. There is a red soutache on the front for artillery or flak unit. The interior is fully lined in soft olive green rayon like material that is excellent. The leather sweatband is in place and shows just enough wear to let you know this cap was worn by someone. But it is overall excellent. The sweatband may have had a maker stamp at one time, but it has since worn away. This is marked 59 inside for the cap size. It won’t last long.
