WWII German Army General Tunic for General Major-This iconic piece is in fantastic condition! It is produced in soft field grey wool that is extremely clean and with only extremely minor wear. There are four pleated pockets with scalloped flaps. The closure seam, French cuffs and the front and lower edge of the dark green badge cloth collar are piped in red. All buttons are gilt finished pebbled metal. The collar tabs are hand applied and produced in red badge cloth with gold celleon generals insignia. The shoulder boards are sew in and for a general major rank. The featured a gold and silver mesh braid over red badge cloth with a gold button. The breast eagle is gold bullion with bright gold flat wire highlights over dark green badge cloth. It is neatly hand applied. There are loops on the left side for four badges plus a long ribbon or medal bar. The interior is fully lined in green rayon that is in excellent condition. There is a collar liner that is well marked. There is a vertical pocket on the left side and a slot for an edged weapon but no strap. This also features a pair of snaps between the bottom two buttons. This is a size medium. Excellent and desirable!
