German WWII Early SS Sleeve Eagle-This is the first pattern of the SS sleeve eagle, introduced for wear in May of 1936 but seen in use by Sepp Dietrich and other higher ups as early as the summer of 1935. It was meant to replace the armband and was worn on the sleeve because the SS was not part of the armed forces. It was actually banned by law to wear it over the breast pocket. This example is machine embroidered in a silvery grey cloth over black badge cloth. It is unissued and excellent!
