German WWII Orts Level (Highest Ort Level) Political Leader Armband- This armband is in “as found” condition. This is a true wartime example. This armband is for the rank of Ortsgruppenleiter, which is the highest of all Ort level political leaders, identified by the light blue nylon piping at the top and bottom. It is produced with a red wool field, which shows quite a few holes and moth tracking. There is also a field repair to the left side of the swastika, just above the gold tresse. Please be sure to look closely at the photos. There is a separately applied ribbed white disc with a black swastika, both of which are piped with a gold colored celleon twist cord. There is a moderate tear to the upper right corner of the disc, just to the right of the top arm of the swastika. There is a small political leader pip in the center of the swastika that retains its finish but has darkened a bit. The top and bottom edge is not only piped in blue, but also in a gold flatwire stripe. The center of the brassard has a single 16mm gold oakleaf stripe which has two 1mm gold stripes on both the upper and lower edge. The ends are not sewn together. This armband has a few liabilities, and is priced according to condition.
