WWII German Army Pioneer/Engineer Standard Bearer Sleeve Patch-Super unissued condition. How can you not love these patches? This patch is machine woven in three colors: aluminum flat wire thread, black thread (engineer branch color), and black detailing thread. These are all woven onto a thin, dark green rayon backing cloth. The insignia portrays two crossed Standards in miniature, with a cluster of oak leaves in aluminum thread woven at the bottom center. This very colorful and desirable patch would be worn on the right shoulder of the one person in the unit that was designated to carry the regimental standarte (flag), which is worth looking up if you are unfamiliar with what these ornate flags look like. Excellent condition!
