Interesting Adolf Eichmann Grouping-This man needs no introduction but just in case, here is a short bio stolen from Wikipedia:
Otto Adolf Eichmann, 19 March 1906 – 1 June 1962 was a German-Austrian official of the Nazi Party, an officer of the Schutzstaffel (SS), a convicted war criminal, and one of the major organizers of the Holocaust. He participated in the January 1942 Wannsee Conference, at which the implementation of the genocidal Final Solution to the Jewish Question was planned. Following this, he was tasked by SS-Obergruppenführer Reinhard Heydrich with facilitating and managing the logistics involved in the mass deportation of millions of Jews to Nazi ghettos and Nazi extermination camps across German-occupied Europe. He was captured and detained by the Allies in 1945, but escaped and eventually settled in Argentina. In May 1960, he was tracked down and apprehended by Israel's Mossad intelligence agency, and put on trial before the Supreme Court of Israel. The highly publicised Eichmann trial resulted in his conviction in Jerusalem, following which he was executed by hanging in 1962.
This neat grouping includes a post card from Eichmann’s mother, postmarked 29.1.1934, featuring a pic of the Bradenburg gate, dated 30.1.1933 during a rally. It is hand addressed to him in Frankfurt. His mother wrote “Heil Hitler” above the photo in red ink, and the reverse features a letter written in the same ink. This also includes a newspaper clipping from Sunday, January 7, 1962 regarding the trial of Eichmann. The trial judge, Justice Michael A Mussmano, minced no words in this article regarding his feelings toward whether or not Eichmann should be executed. The grouping also includes a thank you note signed by the judge to a “Hugo” expressing his well wishes for the year 1962. This is dated January 24, 1962.
